Oh this is so true. I do my level best to ask at every occasion whether there's anything I can do to help, whether a colleague can do anything to help or whether there are any barriers we can help to break down. Definitely an advocate of enabling others to do their work

This might be a bot in the weeds, Dr. Nia, but how do you find yourself asking?

I've found myself thinking that when I hear the question come at me the same way every time, I think of it as perfunctory or not authentic. Do you vary your delivery at all intentionally?

It's the first question I aim to ask in supervision session, but often we go off in to the to-do list, so I find myself saying "yes, but 'how are you?". I think sometimes you just have to create a pregnant pause, stop and come back to the most important thing before you get lost in those weeds
