A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush shows you just how far back this idea goes. I loved reading Danny and Amos’ papers. Danny also had some very practical advice for employee selection and hiring that we learned-by-doing while in the Israeli Army. If I can find it again I’ll share.
I bet it is the same (behind paywall). He outlines a simple and effective 5-step process in his book, Thinking Fast and Slow. I'm going to post about it on Wednesday with my personal spin on how I've been using it.
