Strong team cultures share a common quality. They have a particular way of doing a lot of things. From how they celebrate to how they start meetings, great cultures invent unique ways of doing common activities in an uncommon way. Some of the distinctive ways of doing things arise organically from the creative whim of a team member and then become replicated and amplified because others appreciate them.
There is a way to have this embedded in a culture or embodied in a personality. One lasts beyond the person, and the other while powerful, is more capricious and ultimately, all too human.
Harder but definitely more resilient and lasting is embedding this in a culture

It would be a bit of a different answer for those organizations that are new and those that want to start to change 20-30 years of established culture.
