Important framing. One layer deeper: career orientation is not just about individual mindset. It is also a systems output.

When people view their role as "just a job," it is often because the system treats it that way:

• No feedback loops between performance and growth

• No visibility into how their work connects to something larger

• No structured path that makes effort feel like investment rather than donation

Leaders can absolutely reframe roles into stepping stones. But to make it stick, they need to design systems where growth is visible, earned, and real.

Reframing - an apt way to put to define what value your team member could bring in.

Not only with a job.. any team ,whatever it may be, it's important and crucial to allow each and everyone to be heard and looked after with the pure and sincere aim to support them.

great post until that last sentence... wow! so a young person stuck in a job mentality not yet having found their career trajectory, or a single parent working just in order to pay the rent because they couldn't find a position within their career interests, is just not a "worthwhile" person? Might be better to judge the situation instead of the person...
