Another great, informative, and timely post. Often, we make these processes so difficult and complex that we lose site of the basics. Business relies on organization to get things done. Perhaps this is too simple but a recent article in my LinkedIn newsletter sheds some light, I believe, on this. Enjoy https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/organizational-truth-bob-price-fm94e/
Thanks Bob. What are your thoughts on organizations teaching new team members its "secret doors and magic words" that make life easier? Standard way of imparting that kind of information?
Any effort to improve communications, build relationships, and create a culture that respects and embraces TRUTH is worth the effort. I just read a great post by Ben Meer on the subject of creating a 'work-with-me guide to help gather and share information between individuals who need to develop great working relationships in accomplishing goals. It includes components such as:
1) Communication style and methods
2) Decision Making -how they make decisions
3) Management Style -hands on, informed only, kept in the loop, etc.
4) Pet Peeves- what drives them crazy
5) Miscellaneous - interests, family dynamics, favorites
This process builds self-awareness, promotes relationships, and helps to save time when time is at an emphasis.
Talent is transferable, but success is earned in each new environment. 🌱 While skills and expertise can move with you, success requires adapting to new challenges, cultures, and contexts—it's never guaranteed.
The real question is: how do you translate talent into success when starting fresh? 🚀
For those who’ve transitioned to new roles or industries—what was the biggest shift you had to make to turn your talent into success? Let’s share some insights on how to thrive in new environments and keep growing! ⬇️
