Good morning,

Some interesting points are made. I have learned "it all comes out in the wash." In other words, karma/kamma exists. Someone who operates in a manner like this, is clearly unhappy and/or not at peace with themselves. Who would want to be like that?

They may be a manager, but good luck being a leader....

Thank you for your time.

As someone who could easily slip into this mindset, I appreciate your warning. I found that when I made an effort to treat everyone and every idea with fairness and respect, I got the best out of everyone. Suddenly those “fools” started upping their game with my encouragement and the support of others.

Suffer those fools! They may turn out to be diamonds in the rough.

“Impatience is rarely a virtue” couldn’t agree more! It’s one of the types of leadership I actually believe needs softening through a more compassionate approach we can really notice the value others being away from our own preconceived ideas and there happens growth for both sides…

I never heard of this phrase before. After a quick trip down the internet rabbit hole to find it's origin and context (it's a good one) and asking ALEX to help me better understand how it can be used to make people and situations better, I'm a little bit smarter than I was when I woke up this morning. Thanks!

Oh now this is interesting. I wonder if there are different cultural interpretations of this phrase? Most of my working life has been spent in Wales and this phrase means someone who’s savvy and can see through the BS. It doesn’t generally mean people who are perfection focused and excellence driven. I tend to think of these people as wily and street wise. Someone who can get down in the dirt and know exactly what tricks, dodges and scams people are trying to pull.

I’ve used that phrase while working in England but maybe it doesn’t mean the same here 😱

Good point.

Worth looking up while outside of the States.

Build a TEAM devoted to high level service and a leader will never have to deal with this issue. Instead, the TEAM will police itself. TEAM mmbers will quickly offer assistance to those new to the TEAM and they will provide guidance to those wishing to work to achieve the TEAM goals. They will also make those unwilling to embrace the TEAM and it's goals feel unwelcome. Great leaders build and nurture such TEAMS and TEAM values.

Bradley,

Yes, you are referring to an almost tribe like mentality. I have experienced them first hand. I really enjoyed watching terminology, I learned in school, surface organically. We called ours "The Crew." The only thing that can cause that solid group to break up is life events and/or poor management.

Thank you for your time.
