Why can't I be right and you wrong? Because there are no wrong answers here. TRUTH is always right, never wrong, but there is something else called grace. People who are not funny try to use humor in the wrong places, in the wrong context.

My humor tends to the sardonic, so I have had to check that as best I can. I always have known I am on the right track when my team members use humor with me, though.

Good morning,

I myself have found and seen the usefulness of humor. It is certainly a balancing act, that every aspiring leader must be cautious of. I understand why some leaders aim to bring merely gravitas to management.

Yes, I have always wandered the appeal of consulting. I read that Peter F. Drucker used to hate the term. Whether that's true or not, he was a consultant, and has contributed quite substantially to modern management.

That said though; how many Peter Druckers are there? Perhaps, if an organization has hit it's max threshold (I'm sceptical if any in C-Suite actually have), then bringing on a consultant/consulting firm makes sense. Otherwise, buy your team a book on the issue and spend the tens, if not hundreds, of thousands on your people. They are the ones changing and keeping afloat the organization.

As always, thank you for your time, and have a nice weekend.
