What a simple yet profound truth. To be candid; I am not a happy man. Suffering and pain are a constant part in my personal and professional life. Fulfillment though... Once I read THE FIFTH DISCIPLINE by Peter Senge, I began to see organizations and life differently. Systems thinking has helped me gain a broader perspective. This has led to seemingly small actions bringing fulfillment. Serving others can help alleviate suffering and clear the mind. Perhaps the recovery circles are onto something;).
