We might say that team leaders come in two distinct flavors: those who believe the primary mandate is to develop people and those who view the primary directive as delivering outcomes. Both brands of team leaders believe results sustain the team, but one focuses on producing long-term results by tapping the potential of people, while the other achieves results by completing each and every project with excellence.

My wife and I are in leadership at the same organization. I'm more people focused and she is more project focused. Thankfully, like all things in marriage, we get to blend and grow in our weaknesses. This is a great field note! Thank you.
Well, every healthy relationship requires a balance of coaching up and compromise. But, we both work diligently to build the best versions of ourselves and each other.
