This is a fun one. "Deciding to Delegate" is also "asking for help" - a personal hurdle. A lot of my delegation woes come from not knowing what I'd like to give away. Sometimes the task is so new that I don't know exactly what they should be doing, but I love the suggestion of having someone shadow you to come up with tasks.
I do believe that the leader's job is to develop their team and put them in the best position to be successful. Thoughtful delegation can be jet fuel to a team and organization if implemented appropriately.
