One of my go to reads regarding wisdom literature, is The Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu (or Laozi). At seventeen, this book aided me tremendously. It's values and teachings are perennial. I have only felt those aha moments with certain books. THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE by the late Stephen R. Covey, PhD, the book of Sirach by Ben Sira, the Pali texts of the Buddha, The Manual and Discources by Epictetus, and Meditations by Marcus Aurelius are a few others.
Simple yet powerful! Bravo. Specifically enjoy parsing out confirmation from validation. I should do more of the former as this suggests. Thanks.
Does anyone come to mind for you who does this consistently?
What might be the repeatable expressions of this behavior they use, Joseph?
My silence in responding has been because I didn’t want to react without thinking about what you asked.
I don’t know that I found someone to think of but I can do an imaginary friend and maybe get something similar!
Good morning,
One of my go to reads regarding wisdom literature, is The Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu (or Laozi). At seventeen, this book aided me tremendously. It's values and teachings are perennial. I have only felt those aha moments with certain books. THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE by the late Stephen R. Good stuff today!
Thanks for your time.
