Outcome independence - this is new to me and I'm certainly intrigued. Where can I read & learn more about this ? I'm aware that sports coaches will say to an athlete when they perform badly, that to forget it as it was a bad shot etc and not to dwell on it - move on and play the next shot, pass etc - is this outcome independence ?
While she doesn't use the term "Outcome Independence" ...Annie Duke writes around this topic in here book Thinking in Bets. We recommend that for a framework around the ideas.
You jest at the timeliness of this and St Patrick, but in order to take on a outsized task like his, one would have to be almost completely process oriented.

It's a fine example, Kevan.

Thank you
Good morning,
Wow what a wonderful post. Perhaps this was also how St. Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland (I kidd).
You make solid points regarding the importance of focus. Specifically, the task at hand.
Thank you for this gem.
Now it's time to get to work.
I appreciate you and your time.
