Create Like Picasso

Just in case you’re feeling particularly productive this week, consider a comparison to Pablo Picasso.

The Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, and ceramicist lived for a total of 33,380 days. Born in 1881, he became one of the most influential artists of the 20th Century. He died in 1973.

Picasso was otherworldly productive. During his lifetime, he published 26,075 works of art. Think about that, and do the math. That means Picasso averaged more than one new piece of artwork every day of his life from age 20 until his death at age 91. He created something new, something the world had never seen, every day for 71 years.

Don’t let this depress you. Instead, let this inspire you. Creating something new every day is not as hard for most of us as it is for a master artist. Commit to a more productive life by creating new ideas, conversations and insights every day.
